zettlekasten is a physical box that holds index cars where each inde contains a single idea though or unit of information
Each card contains an identifier (ex: 1a23c5) consisting of numbers and letters by referencing these identifiers on other cards we can create links between cards and thus form hence create a web of knowledge which is stored outside of our brain.
Conventions
id, title, content, references to other notes
one idea for card, do not copy text, brief concise, make notes to be as close to final as possible!
linking numbers and letter to link nodes togheter
chain start with number added in sequential number if a sidebranch is needed he will add a letter to the number by adding several letters he could create and maintain several chains of thought and branch of from chains as needed
he also created a index in a separate system, and when he added a new chain or thought he updated the index.
